Steps to join
The Neuro-Inclusion Charter

#1: Provide training for your assessors 

The Neuro-Inclusion Charter requires at least two of your Employed Assessors to undergo neuro-inclusion training. It’s critical to understand that even people with the same diagnosis will require different support measures during assessment and ensure neurominority learners have the best opportunity to showcase their abilities. This training aims to translate theory into practice and ensure that Delivery Managers, Compliance Managers and Assessors working directly with learners have the confidence to deliver support and adapt assessments according to people’s different challenges.

#2: Expand your evidence criteria to meet expert recommendations 

Robust cognitive assessment reports, such as Cognassist, should be Charter requirements considered alongside existing forms of evidence to reflect accessibility best practices. As psychological assessments, cognitive assessments should have a technical manual available on request to ensure Gold standard development and use have been followed.

#3: Display your Neuro-Inclusion badge

Once two of your Employed Assessors complete the neuro-inclusion training, you will be accepted on to the charter. You will then receive the Neuro-Inclusion Charter Badge for your website.
